For people with neurological conditions to find their voice again

About the Choir

Cantabrainers Choir is a therapeutic choir for people with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and brain injury. Led by a registered music therapist and a registered speech language therapist, participation in Cantabrainers Choir helps people improve their voice and communication through singing and socialising.

I can get my breathing better from singing and I can go louder and longer

Finding words can be a struggle for me, the Choir is helping them to flow better.

Choir helps me get my head around remembering things and learning things again.

I enjoy it, I’m just very, very happy. I can’t wait for the next week.

In the Press

We forget we’re in a wheelchair when we’re here, our wheels and problems disappear. All the friendship and fun, make us feel as one, and fills our hearts with good cheer.

Verse from ‘Welcome to our Choir’ - Written by the members of the Cantabrainers 2012
